Ubuntu Guitarfest 2020

The second edition of Ubuntu Guitarfest was successfully held in a year when we are all affected by the events caused by the Corona virus, locally and globally. Despite all the restrictions, we managed to hold the festival live, in front of the permitted number of audiences and respecting all prescribed protection measures. The concerts were held by Slobodan Milivojević (Serbia), assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, and young guitarists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vedran Vujica from Zenica and Nikola Jelačić from Trebinje. We have provided live streaming through our Youtube channel for all those who were not able to attend the concerts. Master workshops were held by renowned professors from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina: Slobodan Milivojević, Đani Šehu, Dejan Brkić and Nataša Jokić.

We are grateful for the cooperation of our partners, the Banski Dvor Cultural Center and the “Vlado Milošević” Music School, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska and the City of Banja Luka for their financial support in this very ungrateful year, as well as  Hotel Zepter Palas, which hosted our performers and lecturers.
